Because London Pound Cake tends to develop a branching structure with relatively tight spacing between the nodes, strategic training can help improve airflow while making better use of available light.

This cultivar also responds well to techniques that improve light distribution across the canopy. Methods such as topping, low-stress training (LST), and Screen of Green (ScrOG) are all good ways to encourage more uniform growth and expose all bud sites to light.

While London Pound Cake can flourish indoors and out, newer growers may find that an indoor setup is the simpler, more approachable choice. This is because environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity can be much more tightly controlled, which, in turn, can support healthy flower development.
