Not the most dramatic grow I’ve had, which is exactly what I wanted. Showed up, did its job, turned purple, tasted great.

This was such a fun one to grow, honestly. It never gave me any real headaches — just grew steadily, stayed a reasonable height, and then went full purple in the last stretch of flower like it was showing off. The smell during the cure was the real surprise for me, this bright citrus-and-berry thing that made opening the jar feel like a little treat every time, and the smoke itself was just as smooth and easygoing.

There’s something almost cinematic about watching this one turn purple in the last few weeks of flower. The color creeps in slowly, then all at once, and by harvest the colas look like something out of a nature documentary. The aroma that developed alongside it was worth the wait too — grape and berry up front, a citrus edge underneath. Structurally it stayed manageable the whole way through, no major stretch issues, just steady, confident growth from a plant that seemed to know exactly what it was doing.

My partner kept walking by the tent during the last few weeks just to check on the color, which tells you something because they usually couldn’t care less about my grows. This one earned the attention though. It went from regular green to this deep, almost velvety purple over the span of maybe two weeks, and by harvest it looked like something you’d see in a magazine. The grow itself was low-drama — a little bit of a growth spurt mid-flower that I had to stake for, but nothing that felt like a real problem. Cure came out smooth and the smell is fantastic, and the first few smokes have been mellow and easy, exactly the vibe I was hoping for.
